The B&B Terre di Aveja is located in the ancient town of Fossa, a picturesque medieval village in the Valley of the Aterno, known as Aveia dei Vestini in Roman times, far from L'Aquila about 10 km.
The House, completely immersed in a green oasis, surrounded by beautiful natural landscapes and places of high artistic and historical interest, is situated on the slopes of the overlying Convento di Sant'Angelo d'Ocre (1242), is next to the beautiful church of Santa Maria ad Cryptas (XIII century), to the extraordinary necropolis of Fossa, dating to the early iron age (IX-VIII century b.c.), recognized as the largest of southern Italy as well as the evocative and spectacular Caves of Stiffe.
The B&B Terre di Aveja, near to the wildlife reserveParco Sirente Velino, lies close to three ski resorts Campo Felice, Campo Imperatore e Ovindoli and it is also an ideal starting point for mountain walks and cycling along the many paths in the green Valley of the Aterno.
